  • Here’s a great 2011 interview with Paul Morley on what the hell he thought he was doing with A&R for ZTT Records, and specifically Propaganda, in the early days. “A combination of Horn’s Spielbergian tendencies and me coming from a more David Lynch area.” Conducted for the sleeve notes of the 2012 reissue of Wishful Thinking, which I got for review in 1986 and it promptly became one of my favourite records. Particularly “Sorry For Laughing,” the nine-minute version of which is my favourite Propaganda track, and which I played eight or nine times last night and the loved one kindly didn’t kill me.
  • Kim Deal interviewed. “I’ve said before that misogyny is the actual backbone of the music industry, and without misogyny the music industry would crumble.”
  • An important and detailed Twitter thread on “Love In The First Degree” by Bananarama. Play the video below while reading.
