*sob* These are so sad! Dada Records in Perth (which is, thankfully, still extant, and I spent $75 there when I visited last year) was ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL in corrupting me as a youth. Where do the kids go these days for corruption above and beyond the ambient corruption quotient?
There is still good corruption available in Melbourne, while the owners of Missing Link want to sell up and move on, they want the shop to continue, and there’s still Polyester and Greville Records, not to mention Heartland. And for the Metal Kiddies there is Realm Of Kaos, Plutos in Frankston and Hellmart.
I totally failed to visit any of them for Record Store Day yesterday though.
