I am shocked, shocked to hear (archive) that majors might be using obscurantism to keep the money from streaming services and not pass it on to their artists, and that the artists are pissed off enough to be leaving them. You could almost start wondering what labels are for.
Magnetico, a personal torrent search engine that can’t be shut down. It works by polling DHT servers. Hacker News commenters note (and the author concurs) that it’s a bit obnoxious on the BitTorrent network, at least unless and until BEP 51 (DHT hash indexing) can be implemented. If you think you’re up to installing a pile of Python scripts by hand, you should be able to try this out.
