Way back in July contributor Miss Alex posted a preview of the then-upcoming Tori Amos covers record, Strange Little Girls.
Just a few days ago, Tori’s fans discovered it. And they don’t like what they see. There are 20 or so replies to Alex’s story – and most of them have a go at Alex.
Why? Can’t imagine. Could it have anything to do with the story’s reference to Amos fans as ‘adolescent aural roleplayers shaking their collective fatty cakeholes’? Surely not.
Well, it wasn’t via Usenet (or so a cursory Google search seems to say). Anyone know the vector of memetic infection in this case?
Yah – referrer logs show hits coming from a Tori Amos forum at atforumz.com. Can’t find the exact posting, as the forums are snooty members only…
Only noticed it while looking at weekly stats last night.
Not exactly. You can access all of the threads without ever signing up, but you do need to to post. If they makes us snooty, then I guess we’re snooty :P
