Rocket Science Single Launch – Corner Hotel, Fri 30 Nov 2001

Review by Daniel

So, the question is, did they or didn’t they? Having seen this and having been scared and confused, would the smocks make it out to the single launch?

Luckily for all involved, they didn’t. While working on a black/white theme (Roman was in white, the others in black) there were no smocks to be seen.

They put on a great show, playing most of the stuff from the first album, and what sounded like a few new songs, including the single, which sounds less robotic live, and were ably supported by Legends of Motorsport and Nova.

Not having seen them live before (but owning the album), I’m happy to be converted, they’re really worth seeing.

  1. Having heard a burn of the new full length I gotta admit that they are fast rising to the top of their ilk. Even the epic that sounds like Elvis Costello Kraftwerk are jamming. cuz

  2. So, no more smocking them then? You paint a pretty picture… I wish I had art as much of a way with words as you do. etc etc…
