New Waver no longer a live act?

Melbourne band New Waver have recently announced their retirement from the live music scene, claiming they will continue to exist only in the recording studio, not unlike the Beatles post Revolver.

(Nicked from www.tism.com.au, sorry Eggy.)

You mean we no longer get to see Greg and the curler lady doing ‘I Got You Babe’ in the nuddy?

Melbourne band New Waver have recently announced their retirement from the live music scene, claiming they will continue to exist only in the recording studio, not unlike The Beatles post Revolver. According to TISM, ‘This is a tragedy for the rock scene. We will now have to settle for just a band as opening support, instead of Genius.’

New Waver were scheduled to support TISM at the Hi Fi Bar later this month. A replacement act is yet to be announced, however punters who bother to turn up early will recieve a limited edition gift from TISM themselves.

(I’m not the close personal friend of Greg – Dave and Ben, where are you?)

  1. I’ve no idea what’s up with this. Greg? You out there? (You don’t think I leave the house or talk to people, do you?)

By the way, Ms. 45, you are openly encouraged to contribute AS MUCH AS YOU WANT of WHATEVER YOU WANT to Rocknerd. If I’d had contact details I’d have asked you before this.

  2. Contribute what? Seeing and listening to music is for people with money.

SUBLIMINAL MESSAGE: TISM tickets are still available for the 27th September. Look for the short round up the front bawling her eyes out because Ron’s the first naked man I’ve seen in eighteen months *sob*.

  3. If they are going studio ala Beatles does this mean that we can expect Greg to take up Japanese women and smack, and another member to become a Hare Krishna. The world does not need another “Revolution no 9” Please no
