Ira Robbins, editor of Trouser Press‘ seminal guides to alternative rock music in the ’80s and ’90s, has relaunched their online companion – with all the material from the first four Trouser Press Record Guides and the Trouser Press Guide to ’90s Rock.
I found the homepage very user friendly; it includes links to the contents of the books, organised by decade, a search engine including random entries, and a FAQ, which includes a history of Trouser Press, which started out as a New York street magazine.
The Register (of all places) has a great article on the relaunch. Also see the Ira Robbins interview on RockCritics.com.
