- Spotify is valued at $13 billion (compare Universal at $22 billion) but is still haemorrhaging money — but it’s got more UK listeners than Radio 1! Which says more about Radio 1’s fortunes, but anyway.
- Netflix is using Google DRM, so jailbroken Android devices are being blocked. This is for paying customers, by the way. The application apparently still works, but you’ll need to sideload the APK. Or get better service at the Pirate Bay, particularly as you’ve already paid. Hey, Netflix can still use the data!
- Another dialup era revenant: the return of Live365! Or something of that name. The good old days, listening to RealMedia streams of live show recordings where the audience applause would sound like ten thousand teaspoons going over a waterfall … yeah, dialup was shit.
