Schkeuditzer Kreuz: Isolated and Alone (2021).

SCHKEUDITZER KREUZ: Isolated and Alone (Dorfpunk) — what happens when punk rocker Kieren Hills, decades on and struck with inspiration during the pandemic lockdown, does punk rock in early hardcore style through industrial electronics. “The human element of SK has been playing stringed instruments in punk bands since the days when the world had happiness and hope.” The cover of “State Violence/State Control” by Discharge works particularly well. For once the cookie monster voice on otherwise-good industrial isn’t putting me off either. This sort of electropunk works better than you might think, and we need more of it. See also the 2020 EP “Give Me Nothing” and the single “D-Beat Raw Synth Punk.”
