BRADDOCK STATION GARRISON: American Radio — been thinking lately about the late 1980s in Perth, when every band was playing power pop and nothing else, as was the alternative eighties fashion. Usually the jangly variety, but this album dipping into the harder-rocking seventies-style end fits in just fine, and it made friends with me within the first three chords of “Blockbuster.” This record breaks no new ground, but it really doesn’t have to. They’ve got several previous albums too.
