MASSENHYSTERIE: Hausfrauengelüste — second album (“housewife desires”) from Jo Hysteria’s Vienna electropunk outfit. I reviewed an early EP several years ago, just before the first album 1. Akt. That album’s pretty good, this one’s a more coherent single work. Hausfrauengelüste continues in a somewhat elaborated take on the authentic minimal “we’ve got an MS-20 and we’re going to use it” style with a purple-haired Austrian woman shouting perversion at you over the top. It’s more fun than deep, but it’s pretty good and I enjoyed it. Below: “Panzerschokolade”, “Kim Jong Un”, “Show”.
